English Churches....
There are no English speaking Churches in the Limousin that we are aware of. Some English speaking Christians attend the Eglise Baptist in Rue Armand Detreiux,Limoge, where there is some translation. Others meet at a French 'Assemblies Of God' Church in Saint Junien but this is not in English or alternatively they travel to Charante where the Anglican Chaplincy hold periodic services.

The home group meets at one anothers homes every Wednesday afternoon, for the summer, starting at 2.pm for 2.30pm. Numbers are between 5-19 and you can be sure of a warm welcome with tea being served.
We start with a welcome to everyone followed by notices and an opening prayer. This is followed by praise music and singing. The main part of the afternoon could be involved with a bible study, testimony, watching a DVD or listening to a tape. Finally we would have a time of prayer .

The first adult baptisms took place on easter Sunday with seven candidates baptied. We were blessed with wonderful weather slightly cold water at 18 degrees..........Brrrrrgh. But despite the cold water it was an amazing day as all seven recounted how they had given their lives to Christ.

The Pompadour home group meets on alternative weeks (afternoons in winter/evenings in summer) at our home in the village of Conceze just outside Pompadour. The aim is for us to grow together through the fellowship of a shared meal, studing the bible, discussion and fun! If you are a Christian either resident or on holiday and you would like to check us out, then do give us a calll we would love to hear from you. The group is multi-denomational and attend different churches on Sundays, however, Pat & Jim are members of L'Eglise Baptiste Evangelique in Limoges which offers a sermon translation service for non french speakers at it's Sunday morning services. We are also about to start a service in english one Sunday afternoon a month which we hope will appeal to anyone too far away from the Anglian services in Aquitaine and Charente, more infromation to follow shortly.

This Christian home group north of Limoge has been running sucessfully for some time now. It is based on sound biblical foundations and led by Cedric with bible study as the basis for most of the meetings. Cedric and Barbara are also very active in one of the Churches at Limoge. Please contact them if you would like to join them in understanding the word of the Lord and also joining in the social contact they enjoy throught he meetings. They are meeting on Tuesday afternoons through the winter period.
Those holidaying in this area are welcome to join them.
