Non Christian or New Christian........
It can be very daunting for non Christians or new Christians to join a group where everyone has years of Christian experience, especially if you are shy or timid. Home group meetings should not be a place of intimidation or stress, so please ask the group that you are interested in if they have means of gentle introduction where those of similar backgounds can get used to meeting Christians at their own pace. Some groups may be able to offer Alpha courses or Disciple courses that make the participants more comfortable. Do not expect non Christians or new Christians to join in all group activities straight away. Everyone should be made to feel inclusive and encouraged to join in discussions, singing and prayer. There should never be any pressure to take part in anything that someone is uncomfortable with.
