Non Christian or New Christian........
It can be very daunting for the non Christian or new Christian to join a group where everyone has years of Christian experience, especially if you are shy or timid. Home group meetings should not be a place of intimidation or stress, so please ask the group that you are interested in if they have means of gentle introduction where those of similar backgounds can get used to meeting Christians at their own pace. Some groups may be able to offer Alpha courses or Disciple courses that make the participants more comfortable. Do not expect non Christians or new Christians to join in group prayers straight away. I remember clearly when I became a Christian that it was almost physically painful to pray in small groups and it took a long time to overcome this.
